Food is an essential ingredient for brain development and function. At Hadley-Luzerne Central School District, we also pour a lot of love into everything we do. We are proud to serve hot, made from scratch, breakfast at the Junior/Senior High School every day. And at the Elementary School, we work on expanding our students’ palates so they will try a wider variety of foods when they get to the High School.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
Hadley-Luzerne Central School District is excited to announce that all Hadley-Luzerne Central School District students are eligible for free breakfasts and lunches. No sign-up or pre-registration is required, however, a la carte purchases (snacks, drinks, and extra meals) must be paid at time of purchase. Free meals are made available by the Community Eligibility Provision federal program and additional funding from NYS.
Hadley-Luzerne CSD encourages families to complete an income form that is vital for other grants and aid programs. The income form can also be completed online by clicking here.

Additional Snacks and Beverages
Additional snacks and beverages are available for purchase daily in the school cafeteria. These items are optional and require available funds on a student’s account. Families who would like to limit or restrict the types of additional items their student may purchase can request purchasing restrictions at any time by contacting Food Service Director Courtney Scheff.
Parents are invited to take advantage of the district’s computerized account system for purchasing and paying for additional snacks and beverages for their children. Visit the LINQ Connect website to register. *Students also have the option of bringing cash or a check to the cashier.
LINQ Connect accounts show the following:
- Current balances
- Cafeteria transactions
- Families can also receive low balance notifications and set up one-time or recurring payments for student meals.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
The Food Service Department offers one-on-one assistance with applying for SNAP. Staff can help determine potential eligibility, assist with gathering required documentation, and provide support throughout the SNAP application process. Participants also receive information about other programs that may help stretch their food budget. All services are free and confidential.

Write a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
