Yesterday was an historic day for Hadley-Luzerne Athletics! Our Modified Girls Cross Country Team captured the Adirondack League Championship, and for the first time in school history, both our Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country Teams were crowned Adirondack League Champions!
It was a day filled with outstanding performances, determination, and teamwork that helped make this championship sweep possible. And the history-making didn’t stop there!
Makaio Potts made history by becoming the first male runner from HL to win the League Championship! Along the way, he also set a course record at Queensbury for HL runners. To top it all off, Makaio was named the league’s Top Boys Runner and earned League MVP honors! What an incredible accomplishment!
Congratulations as well to Ethan Ferguson, Haley Potavin, and Samantha Savavage on earning First-Team All-Star honors, and to Easton VanGuilder and Summer Cameron for earning Second-Team All-Star recognition.
Let’s give a huge congratulations to Makaio and all of our boys and girls cross country runners for an incredible season and these outstanding accomplishments!
